Our client has grown largely through acquisition—in 2019 it comprised more than ten business units and diverse analyticsportfolio consisting of 8 analytics tools and 1200+ reports supporting 2000+ users. Complex tool landscape and integrations increased time to insights leading to delayed decisions in sales, marketing, and advertising teams which impacted operations and revenues.
Our client wanted to minimize tools overlap, standardize information consumption and PII data, mitigate risks from legacy applications, and simplify operations
The Solution
Infocepts leveraged its proven analytics migration and agile execution capabilities to execute this. The solution comprised of 3 steps:
Assessment – Our team conducted an assessment of the current state, a deep-dive tool comparison in the context of our client’s requirements and developed a migration roadmap. Our team collaborated with multiple business, IT, security, and support stakeholders to understand essential requirements, capabilities, critical application needs, and challenges to arrive at this roadmap
Migration – Based on the assessment, planning, prioritization, migration was carried out. Our team migrated ~1200 reports; 40% as-is and 60% requiring partial or full redesign. Reports were also redesigned to meet PII guidelines and integration with Protegrity data security.
Optimization – Infocepts built the platform monitoring dashboard and led the continuous rollout of new user capabilities—all while tuning report generation and sunsetting expendable apps or tools. Additionally, we helped foster business team collaboration, enabled governed self-service, and conducted training workshops.
